The Ontology Engineering Group is at the top-ten of research groups at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). It is based on the School of Computer Science at UPM. Its research areas cover Ontological Engineering, Semantic Web and Linked Data, Semantics in Open Science, and Data-Driven Language Technologies. We have developed applications in a wide range of domains, including knowledge management, environment, e-commerce, job market, funding, geospatial, libraries, etc.

Job vacancy: Inclusive Audit of Language Models (AI-MOLE)

Job responsibilities:

• Inclusive Auditing: Selection of Language Models for Spanish and Analysis of Biases in Those Models.
• I developed a software proof of concept to adapt documents to Easy-to-Read format using the least biased language model.

Specific requirements: Young people who have previously had an employment relationship with the UPM may not be hired. General requirements for young people being hired, at the time the contract is signed:

• Be at least 16 years old and under 30 years old.
• Be registered as an unemployed job seeker at any employment office of the National Employment System.
• Hold one of the following degrees: Master’s, Bachelor’s, Licenciado, Engineer, Architect, Diploma, Technical Engineer, Technical Architect, Doctorate, or intermediate or advanced vocational training. If you hold a foreign academic degree, you must have the corresponding certification of equivalence to a Spanish degree, issued by the ministry responsible for recognizing foreign educational degrees and qualifications.

Mandatory requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Bachelor's degree in Computational Linguistics, Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Bachelor's degree in Digital Humanities, or similar.
• Knowledge of natural language processing and language models.
• Basic Python Skills
