Sem4Tags is a multilingual tool that given an input tag and a context generates as a result a DBpedia resource representing the tag meaning.  The current version is able to process tags in English and Spanish.

Sem4Tags is able to identify the meaning of multilingual tags by associating them with DBpedia resources. The process takes into account the tag context, understood as the set of user tags co-occurring when annotating a resource.  Sem4Tags uses a multilingual sense repository (MSR) created from Wikipedia information, where each word is related to a set of candidate meanings that have been extracted from Wikipedia disambiguation pages. To select the most probable meaning for a tag Sem4Tags uses a vector model that takes into account the terms appearing in each one of the Wikipedia pages.
